ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a printmaker and installation artist who is exploring the world around me-the environment I exist within-both ecological and social-through an interplay of materials and processes. These processes are both theoretical and practice based. My work is predicated upon research of subjectivity and nature, via the human reaction to the environment and the other. I am concerned with the effect I have upon the environments I exist within, because of this, I seek to create work that has an understanding of its impact while intertwining playfulness within the work. I am discovering what it means to be an intersubjective artist working within collaborative environments while also nurturing my individual artistic autonomy. The work I make both collaboratively and individually is meant to awaken wonder in the participant/viewer and allow them to reconnect themselves with moments of clarity in nature and with others.
