BIO

Erin Latham Ph.D. is an artistic researcher, Printmaker, installation artist, Artist Philosopher, Arts Educator, and Author from Oklahoma, USA. She received her Masters of Fine Art in Printmaking from the Pratt Institute and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Art Theory, Aesthetics, and Philosophy from the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts. She has a passion for sharing art with others and was a teaching artist for twelve years. She is the Manager of Current Co-op LLC, an artist-run cooperative studio space and a co-founder of “Rock Paper Scissors Collaborative'' an installation based collaborative artmaking team, as well as a co-founding artist of a former OKC based immersive artist collective. Her current role with the Oklahoma Arts Council as the Director of Art in Public Places allows her to facilitate the selection and creation of public artworks across Oklahoma. She is also the Artistic Director for You Artistry Collaborative where she facilitates artistic endeavors across the world. She has exhibited bodies of work in many spaces across the US, and has received multiple grants from organizations to facilitate the creation of new artwork and collaborative projects, as well as presenting at conferences around the world. Her work explores the world around her-the environment she exists within-both ecological and social-through an interplay of materials and processes, that are based in community engagement and connectivity to nature.
